Flyfishing in saltwater in most people’s minds is reserved for the near insane and crazy.
It can be the hardest enviroment to fish in. With rocking boats, changing tides, speeding fish and the wind. Yes ,the wind that doesn’t cease. From gentle trade winds to near gale force. The reason to perciver is to catch some of the fastest, hardest pulling and most beautifully colored fish to be had. From the cold Pacific ocean, flyfishing for dime bright Coho and Chinook salmon amongst the kelp forests, to fishing the warm tropical waters of Cape York for a long list of species. Sight fishing the flats and along the beaches of Cape York can produce fish like Indo Pacific Permit, Queenfish, Tarpon, Diamond Trevally, Golden Trevally, Barramundi……..and the list goes on and on.
Flyfishing in saltwater is challenging as is capturing the moods and fish of each ever changing saltwater enviroment.
