I had a client once make a comment that Cape York was like a tropical Alaska. He was right, the remoteness, the lawless nature of the people and the untouched fishing is very similar to Alaska. It has endless beaches and flats to walk and fish for Indo Pacific Permit, Bluewater to tackle line pulling Tuna and Mackerel and Mangrove lined rivers to fish for Barramundi and other snag dwellers. The best week that clients had was sixty five species.
